My Dukan Diet
I have been trying to slim down in my whole life and I've just learnt not to bear a BIG investment by using other methods which is --- Slimming Centre. Believe me or not, for all the $$$ that I dumped in, it is good to pay for a downpayment for a house! Or perhaps including a car too!! Which I find this ridiculous by spending thousand n thousand dollars without seeing any significant returns!!
I've discovered this diet plan since last year September in a magazine (before my wedding) till now it has been reacting well on my body. I've been weighted up down at 80kgs+-, my whole life has been surrounding with diet pills, slimming treatments, body wrapping, sauna, hot blanket, exercise, gym, uZap, slimming patches and many many more, you name it!
Since I've discovered this diet method (this is widely used in most slimming centers), which is A pure Protein And SugarFree diet! I managed to lose up to total of 8kgs, without exercise at all!
I was weighted 86kgs previously, 3 months down - 80kgs, and down further to 78kgs. My weight has been staying around at 78k+-, as I didn't really stick to Cruise phase 2 diet plan on 1+1, 3+3 or 5+5 (protein & veges, or just pure protein) alternate days, and some days I consumed carbos or even rice & chips after my wedding day! Now, I have to back begin with my Dukan diet Attack phase again since I put on 2kgs during my vacation in Cambodia for a week. I was totally given up on my diet as everywhere we go, we eat food that ordered from a friend who works in Cambodia. Worst still, most of the meals consist rices and breads. It is a tough time to stick to my pure protein diet honestly. Or it was just an excuse to myself =P I really wanna try out the local Khmer food! It ended up with lots of dishes, serving with rice unfortunately + additional 2kgs return to Malaysia.
So back to my Attack Phase Day 1, I'm gonna update here daily on the food I'm consumed and the weight I gain or loss, to keep it as a habit on myself to stick to my diet till I reach my ideal weight - 63kgs:

Dorra Slimming Review
I bought a groupon deal lately for a so called 'full treatment' from Dorra Slimming which advertised heavily on the radio and claimed to be the slimming expert for the lower body.
My appointment was in Mid Valley at the boulevard. I was arriving on time for my appt at 7pm. The sales staff immediately asked for my IC for registration. Is kinda making me feel uncomfortable why would they need my IC for? Anyway after a quick 'check-in'. I was weighed, filled up a form, and waiting for their sales speech to begin.
It started off by a young sales rep explained on the treatment how is it difference from other slimming centers. Half way thru another older lady came in to the room and claimed herself is a nutritionist to advice on the meal plan.
After that the 'nutritionist' checking on my diet history, explaining how fat would be accumulated bla bla bla and it took up to almost 2 hours long for the whole conversation. In actual fact, she turned to be a hardcore sales rep. It was such a desperate attempt, they keep persuade me to sign up for the full course for rm7500. I felt so repulsed, and immediately didn't want to purchase anything. I mentioned I just wanted to try the coupon- at least give the consumer a chance to experience what you advertised. The sales rep said, not everything is included, even though the coupon had referred to a full package. The management still reserves the right on the terms & condition. After all, the trial pack is just a gel to apply on my skin and with a roller to roll on few parts. While doing the trial, she kept pushing for the rm500 membership with a package of 10 treatments. So i agreed for that package. Later, she took a pic after she did on one thigh, asking me to spot the difference. Honestly there's no difference on both thighs but she kept saying the result is fantastic.
After that, I was taken back to the sales 'torture' room, and the door was closed. Again, I was subjected to seeing the same photographs. At this stage my thighs were absolutely burning and I was so uncomfortable. She again tried to sell me the package, starts from rm7500 down to rm2500. Each time when she stepped out, she would come back with a better deal. but I was just not interested, as I was really wanted to see result first before I convinced. She realized she couldn't sell me anything, even bringing the package down to a '500 deposit' & rm1100 package for 10 courses. Honestly I'm not stupid enough to be tricked again by all the sweet talk. Although I'm interested to find out if this really work for me. The entire Dorra experience was so extremely off putting. So beware, they hv new sales tactics now.
The result of the treatment- My thighs were red for the day, and I felt uncomfortable wearing a dress. By the next morning, I felt my thighs were smoother. But after a couple of days my thighs went back to their original state.
My conclusion- If you sign up with a package you will lose weight because you will be constantly criticized about your appearance by the sales rep and someone is eye watching your diet. Imaging you'll have to jot down what you eat for the day and at what time. If you're able to follow this thru, trust me. Gym would work double foe you with on Rm150 per month on your membership not some what rm7500 pqckage on non-guaranteed basis. Nothing would lady forever. And once you stop the treatments, you will return to your normal size again.
Be prepared to be subjected to a veryyy lonnnggg winded sales pitch and not so smart 'sweet talk'!
Learnings:
1. Not every groupon deal is a good deal and worth ur time to attend.
2. Be prepared for the long hour sales speech
3. Be firmed, do not bring cash or credit card during ur first visit. They even checking on what credit card you're holding and even asking what ATM card you have. So be careful!!
4. Don't be trapped. They will start convince you to sign up on during your first visit for the best price. It is not!
5. Don't get brainwashed. Once they know your credit card merchant, they will convince you to sign now n pay later with 0% installment for up to 36months!!! Aren't they crazieeee?!!?!
Be wise. Money is in ur hand nit theirs ;)

Baskin Robin Ice Cream cake
As I said earlier, I like the ice cream but definitely not the cake. Dun stop me from buying so improve plss!
Korean BBQ in Jalan Ampang
This restaurant is located at Jalan Ampang. Is managed by Korean family. Authentic flavour and reasonable price. For 2 persons with pork belly n ribs cost around rm55, daikejong and apetozer comes free. V. Nice
Beautiful Island in KK
I must say Malaysia has the most beautiful islandssss in SEA. But plsss, maintain it well k?! Improve the amenities ---am referring to the public area like toilet.
Rafflesia in KK
We bargain the entrance ticket to view rafflesia in Kk somewhere near to the hot spring area. The uncle chop us with initial price of rm20 per person n we negotiated at rm5. Bazaars!
Canoodling@Bangsar Village II
Spotted this new eating place at BS II. Great concept and I like the interior settings, clean modern casual however kind of disappointed with their food taste. Reckon any kopitiam seafood beehun would taste much nicer and cost twice cheaper. Sigh.
Pollock soup
Pollock is a type of dried fish made from fresh fish. Taste different from the salted fish in Malaysia. Usually Korean will cook this fish with carrot soup.
Kosari
Is a moutain veggies, best use in bibimbap and Yokgajeung. Need to soak over night, rinse clean and boil.
Must try 'Two-two Fried Chicken' in Seoul
This is one of the chicken specialty store on our way back to the hotel. They only sell chicken n beer. What you get is a combo chicken - one deep fried, one with sweet m sour sauce in Korean style. Goes v.well with soju beer.
Soju Party in Seoul
This is very first trip to Korea and travel with my other 2 girl friends. We tried the most famous drink - soju + beer. It taste much better than drinking soju alone.
Serai@Empire Shopping Gallery
Tested this mixed Malay nasi in Serai. This restaurant has the similar feel of delicious restaurant. Food so-so but definitely not so-so on the bill. Is consider pricey for a simple food it costs up to rm25 for a maincourse.
Chendol!
One of my favorite Malaysia food. Cheap and easy to get it anywhere in town. Enjoy the most especially during hot sunny day.

Paul's light Sour cream
Mustard
Garlic
- seasoned salmon fillet with sea salt & pepper, marinate for 5-10mins.
- add one teaspoon of salt in the water adding flavor to potato. Boiled potatoes for about 15mins or until fork tender.
- re-used the water to boil broccoli for 5mins, a good teaspoon of olive oil would add shine to the veggies.

Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup Recipe
How to make Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup (Malaysian style)
Things You'll Need:
1 Spring chicken or small Kampung chicken (note: do not use normal meat chicken)
8 garlic cloves (skin remove, crushed little)
12 Chinese dates (red jujube)
2-4 whole fresh/dried ginseng roots (soak in warm water if using dried). You can get it from chinese herbal store, or when you travel to Korea, buy from korean ginseng factory, is cheaper and fresher in Korea.
1 bunch green onion
To Taste:
Sea Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 bunch green onion (cut to 2 inch)
Gi zhi
Remove and discard innards from chicken - especially remaining liver. Wash clean well under running water. Pat dry with paper towels and set aside
Stuff chicken with half portion of red dates, garlics, and ginseng. To hold the contents in the chicken, make a deep vertical slit on the inner part of one drumstick, then insert the other leg through the cut. This way, you would not need to stitch or tie with kitchen yarn.
Leave the chicken in the korean clay pot. The best way to cook korean ginseng chicken soup is to use korean clay pot, you can leave the pot directly on the stove for boiling the chicken soup, serve hot once is done. The clay pot would keep hot and is heated-proof till last drop of soup.
Pour water in a korean clay pot, put rest of the red dates, garlics and ginseng.
Boil the water over high heat. Skim and discard fats that are floating. Once boiled, turn heat down low heat. Continue cooking for about an hour, covered.
Serve hot with korean white rice or japanese white rice. For a simple and healthy meal, you may add an organic fry veges - pak choy or choy sum as side dishes. add sea salt & pepper, and garnish with green onions and gi-zhi (chinese herbs).
